Abstract: Itchy Skin

You ever itch to the point when you fantasize of taking a wire brush to your body,

because having no skin would be better scraping your nails up and down your arm and across your neck every ten seconds?

I have and I’m desperate for it to stop.

Stupid curse, begging for attention.

Reducing a man to a child.

Please go away.

I’ll give you what you need.

Take my wallet if you must.

Just leave me be.

This dry air is causing my skin to hate me.

I am a writer and artist in the early stages of my trek. I spent 20 years trying to be who I thought I needed to be, and now I am running after who I am. Fearless Grit is my space to document and share the process.
